Systems Research

Many of the strategic areas of focus for the development of the La Flor campus are centered on the technical systems. The systems explored here include energy, water, and waste – all important to the development of the campus plan. In addition there are studies of agricultural and architectural systems.

Students in both La Flor and Innovation contributed to this research.

Materials Research

The materials research is primarily focused on food and agricultural products that are currently being grown at either the Limon campus or the La Flor campus. In addition to information about the nutrititional benefits of the foods, these studies also examine growing processes and waste products. Our intention is to identify potential synergies between these processes and products and/or synergies with other industrial processes and products that may take place at La Flor.
